Yeah, google should definitely hear what the users have to say. Personally, I would like them to stick with contextual ads. I think if you’re looking at a website on a certain topic, that’s what you’re interested in at that moment.

I think behaviour targeting is a good idea, at the very least it will eliminate ads that you find very annoying, I don’t see much of an issue since google is already reading my email to target ads on my gmail.

I got the privacy policy change notification as well. Would love to see behavior based advertise in action. Hopefully it would mean your blog won’t show me lkadvani ads. I ‘think’ google should take feedback from users whether they want to see an ad banner again in future.

Behavior targetting can be effective if you are trying to reach a specific demographic. Not sure how people will feel about Google tracking their behavior though….

I think it might just dramatically decrease click through rate. I run a website on macs and people from both mac and pc worlds visit it, but I’d never want the pc guys to find any BUY a DELL or anything on my ads.

Say if I’ve written so good a post that someone decides to buy a mac right away, what’s gonna happen to my CTR if he keeps getting Dell or HP ads?
